The recent times weren’t particularly the best, and in ways more than one, the world went for a complete spin. However, this doesn’t mean that we compromise on our health, EVER. Here are ways in which you can and people around the world stay healthy inside out.
1. Qualitative Living
People have started to concentrate on their health and well-being. Mental health has become a priority and intimacy and family is now a priority and right at the forefront of everyone’s attention. Many have realized that it is not just about physical health, but a balancing it with mental health means overall wellness. The need to feel better and healthier inside was never more important than today, ever before.
2. Regular Health Checkup
Get yourself checked every six months. Especially if you are above 30 years of age. The regular health check ups that include blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose levels etc. These vitals are important so that you are on top of what is needed to do for your body and fitness. If there are shortfalls, then you can flag the concern and start to pay closer attention to it. If you are good with all the vitals, then that gives you a good reason to feel confident and continue to do more and work towards your health.
3. Eat Healthy
We are lucky to have been born at an age and time when there is no dearth of information. At a click and a swipe, there is a world of information and knowledge for us to consume. Not only that, but there is an increase in the number of health practitioners, nutritionists, dietitians and people who are spreading the knowledge of eating for your health. You are what you eat is not just an old adage, but is a fact by itself. When you start to eat clean, you feel healthy and energetic from within. Having a balanced diet made with whole grain foods, vegetables and fresh fruit, proteins and also be hydrated with plenty of water.
4. Don’t Miss That Beauty Sleep
It’s not called a beauty sleep for no reason. Sleep is the biggest healer and turning in every night at a proper time, will help you not only look good and keep you refreshed, but will help you with your energy levels, a great immune system, a focused mind and optimal health. An erratic sleep schedule will make you reach out for unhealthy snacks and caffeine. The smartphone is also the other culprit in most of us not getting a good night’s sleep.
5. Exercise
Now this is a must. At least three days a week is highly recommended, even if you cannot exercise every day. A good combination of mindful eating, a timely sleep schedule and regular exercise will help you work towards an optimum health and feeling of overall wellness. Seek advice from your doctor and physical trainer on what kind of exercise is good for you. If you cannot make it to the gym, then find some time to go for a brisk walk outside. Alternative health practices like yoga is also beneficial as it takes care of your core and gives you a feeling of mental well-being.

6. Water It Down
Another elixir of life. Simple, clean, easy to have and satiating. Water. We need lots of it. At least 3 liters every day. It makes everything good. Hair, skin, digestion, sleep, energy, vitality. We cannot stress enough on the importance of drinking water.

7. Probiotics
Probiotics support the good bacteria. They are good for your gut and help in digestion. You can get your daily natural dose of probiotics from yogurt, curd or buttermilk. You can get some good brands of probiotics at the supermarkets too. Probiotics improve digestion and strengthening of your immune system.
8. Slow Down
Are you on overdrive all the time? Do you always find yourself and your family in the fast lane? Do you keep rushing to complete things, to get to places, to be present everywhere, to always look, feel and be perfect? Well, let’s break a myth for you. There is no perfection and life cannot be rushed. You need to stop. Breathe. Slow down and prioritize. Pick and choose about what really calls for your attention, what really helps your life goals and does not tax you or your family. Anything that intervenes with your peace of mind is not worth it. Slowing down is key. Slowing down does not mean success won’t come to you. It will come. In fact, you will be able to focus and perform better.
9. Good Company
Finally, surround yourself with good company. People who encourage you to think positively, and make you feel good about yourself. Detach yourself from people who stress you thought, news that burdens you with negativity and anything that brings you down spiritually.
At the end of the day, you have to make a conscious effort, to look after your health. Being healthy inside out is not the most difficult to achieve but it definitely needs a concerted effort, to live wisely and to live better.
